Placing Orders

Registration:
We can only accept orders for delivery to academic institutions, registered busineses, and registered charities. Companies and charities must be able to provide a company registration number (or charity number), and be VAT registered. To place orders via the website you must first register by clicking on the ‘Register’ link (top right) and filling in the Create an Account form.

Order Confirmations:
Upon completing your order you will receive an order confirmation and then a further despatch confirmation when your order has shipped.

Please note, we have a minimum order value of £50.00 (excluding VAT and shipping)


Delivery Information

Our standard delivery rates are as follows.

UK £15.00
EU £50.00
USA / Canada £60.00
Rest of World £100.00


Payment Methods

Payment by Purchase Order:
We can accept payment on our website by PO (existing account holders only). Select ‘Purchase Order’ as your payment option in checkout and enter your Purchase Order Number in the box provided. If you are not a previous customer you can contact us to request a credit account.
Universities and governmental institutions do not need to request an account, one will be created automatically when you place the order.

Credit/Debit Card:
We can accept payment using the following cards, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. Our payments are securely handled by Braintree Payments, which are a division of PayPal.

PayPal:
We can accept payment by PayPal, if you select this option you will be taken through to PayPal’s own website to complete payment.


International Customers

Please note, we do not sell to the USA, this is becuase our parent company (BBI), and our suppliers (ABM & Dojindo) all have local sales offices in the US. We welcome orders from customers in the EU and rest of world, and are usually able to process these via our website. All payments will be settled in Pound Sterling (GBP). Please contact us if you would like any further information about orders, payments or deliveries for international customers.


VAT Registration


UK Customers
When you select United Kingdom as your billing country in the checkout, you will be presented with a box to enter your VAT registration number. This is a mandatory field for UK customers, as we are only able to sell to VAT registered companies and institutions.



VAT Exemption

UK Customers
If you would like to place a VAT exempt order, please tick the VAT Exempt checkbox in the checkout, and upload your exemption certificate. Your certificate must be in PDF format, and be under 500kb in size. The uploading of a certificate is mandatory for UK VAT exempt customers, and the certificate will be checked prior to processing your order.
