Phsophatase Inhibitor Cocktail I: Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail is an aqueous solution of five phosphatase inhibitors (Imidazole , Sodium Fluoride , Sodium Molybdate , Sodium Orthovanadate , Sodium Tartrate Dihydrate )for the inhibition of acid and alkaline phosphatases as well as protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs). It is a 100X concentrated, ready-to-use solution. If samples have high phosphatase activity then the Phosphatase Inhibitor cocktail can be used at 2-3X concentrations to ensure complete inhibition. It is ideal for inhibition in tissue extractions and cell lysis experiments and is compatible with most common protein assays. Due to the salt concentrations of the Phosphatase Inhibitor cocktail, it is not suitable for direct IEF/2D studies. Dilute 1:100 immediately before use.
